You never know what might strike my fancy these days. Today I think I’m headed in one direction, and a thought or a scene or who knows what strikes and suddenly I’m off on a completely different way. I was thinking a lot about what I love yesterday, and how I could write about my friends and family, because I don’t really give them enough space on this blog even though they’re the ones reading, or yoga, because I’ve written a little about consistent exercise but nothing about the mindfulness that I’ve gained from practicing yoga.
And then I was reminded of how much I love reading other peoples’ blogs. They provide so much inspiration, and in some ways guidance. I haven’t hidden that I’d like to take this blog to the next level although I haven’t truthfully done much to do that. It’s scary, especially since I don’t feel like I know what I’m doing. Yet I keep reading the daily stories of these amazing women and finding that it can be done.
So, here are a few of the blogs that keep inspiring me to keep writing and work towards doing more with my words.
Joy the Baker – as the name suggests, Joy writes about food – and it all looks delicious. But every once in a while she pulls out a post that just surprises and delights me and hits me right in the heart {also, I didn’t realize that the links at the bottom went to other websites – I thought they were links to recipes, ha!}. I can’t believe I missed my chance to see her speak at the neighborhood bookstore when she visited SF.
whoorl – This blog just makes me smile. I’m never sure what I might find, but it’s almost always light and fun. I mean look at yesterday’s post – the adorable daughter and a first real haircut.
simply lovely – this blog features pictures that completely inspire me, whether taken from other sources or from the blogger herself. Eye-candy is guaranteed on every visit.
rinse. repeat. – this was probably the start of my blog love. To be honest, before I was laid-off I didn’t regularly read any blogs. In the early stages of wedding planning, I started looking for online inspiration and this one popped up on my radar. There actually was little wedding, but I kept coming back. I think that this is one of the most heart-felt blogs that I read. It’s amazing to find a connection with someone never met and most likely won’t meet. I’ll admit I’ve shed a tear or two at some of the posts here.
sacramento street – this is a relatively new addition to my list of regular reading, but the blogger is based in SF. She also features a lot of eye-candy.
And I can’t forget… tomatoes in love and notable mentions, blogs written by dear friends. It’s encouraging that they go through the same troubles keeping their blogs updated. It happens {one busy day and the blog gets put to the bottom of the list}, but when I find a new post it’s like a treasure! <3
I have a long list of blogs that I’m reading pretty often, but these are the ones that I check almost daily. They are a bit like friends who each have something unique to offer and give me something to aspire to. I hope that I provide that for someone too!
Until tomorrow <3

You’re too sweet! Miss you.
